Hi,

I'm new to this whole blogging thing.  So, I'm giving it a try.  Just to let you know, that while I'm trying this out, our dog, Trey, isn't too happy about it.  He wants to play.  Don't worry, I have tossed his toy plenty today.  He just doesn't take well to not being the center of attention.

My husband Don and I are a real estate team.  We are getting more experienced day by day and growing in this business day by day.  It's quite different working with your husband on a professional level, when you are used to dealing with each other on a much more informal level.  By that I mean, we have been married for 22 years.  By now we have gotten into a groove or rhythm as many of you know having been in relationships or being in a current relationship.  Add a working relationship and it's funny how you see different strengths, styles, techniques that you may not have known about in each other.  For example, Don is more of a list maker than I realized before.  I am not as much a list maker (I calendar my day to keep me on track) and adjust as I go.  Both styles are good in their own way and getting used to how we work in an office setting and work off our different styles and strengths is interesting.  With our different styles we bring different strengths which when combined, we believe are a big benefit for our customers and clients in the business of finding or selling their home.  Plus you get two Realtors for the "price" so-to-speak of one.  We are always able to be contacted.

Early on in our business we found out something about buyers that we hadn't thought of or didn't realize.  We came across buyers that didn't want to use a Realtor for fear that they had to pay for their services.  Yes, Realtors get paid, but buyers don't pay.  The sellers pay the Realtors.  The benefit to getting a Realtor to help you find your home is you give the Realtor, or the team of Realtors info on what type of home or property you are looking for.  Then the Realtor gets to work finding you properties that meet your requirements.  They schedule appointments to go view the property or properties that interest you, your Realtor looks out for your interest in the home buying process so that your closing moves forward and all the right paperwork gets done and you get to move into your new home without a hitch.  Think of it this way, would you perform a surgery yourself?  Of course not, you'd get a surgeon and you would get that surgeon because he has done that same surgery several if not hundreds or thousands of times, right.  So, why wouldn't you get a Realtor, who is a professional to get you through the process that they know very well.  Yes, you may have purchased a home once, twice or more in your life, but the rules and laws keep changing.  It's the Realtor's job to stay current to keep their client's best interest protected.  Isn't that worth whatever the seller pays your Realtor.  Not to mention Realtors even get to see listings days before they get publicly listed.  Don't you want the early scoop before everyone else on the great house that just hit the market?  You sure do!  So, make sure you get a Realtor when you are buying or selling a home.

Contact Don and I to help you with your home buying needs.  We listen and will work twice as hard to get you the home of your dreams.
